A Hydrocarbon Degreaser That Is Not a Hydrocarbon.

Most industrial degreasers are solvents: they dissolve oil into more flammable liquid. Hasten Cleanse is a water-based concentrate of fatty acids and surfactants. It breaks the bond between hydrocarbon film and the surface and suspends the oil in water, so the runoff is non-hazardous and nothing on the job has a flash point. It is for oil, crude, diesel, hydraulic fluid, and grease, on steel, aluminum, and concrete.

No flash point, no solvent vapor. Crews are not working in fumes and nothing can ignite.

Runoff goes to treatment. Suspended oil, non-hazardous water, no added bacteria.

Where It Is Used

Process equipment and piping

Hydrocarbon film on steel. Spray or wipe at 1:20 to 1:50.

Compressors, pumps, skids

Oil and grease film. 1:20, agitate, rinse.

Shop floors and containment

Concrete with oil film. Spray, brush, rinse to a separator.

What Hasten Cleanse does not do

It is not a solvent and not a caustic. It will not dissolve, melt, or strip material that is physically bonded or baked onto a surface: scale, rust, hardened deposits, coatings. It lifts hydrocarbons, oil, grease, crude, sludge, and paraffin, by emulsifying them, and it needs agitation, circulation, pressure, or heat to do that work. If your problem is a stuck-on solid rather than a hydrocarbon film or residue, tell us and we will say so.

Is it a solvent?

No. Water-based, fatty acids and surfactants, no flash point.

Will it remove paint, rust, or scale?

No. It lifts hydrocarbon film only. Not a caustic.

Aluminum safe?

Yes. Non-corrosive to aluminum, stainless, carbon steel, copper alloys.

Dilution?

1:50 for light film, 1:20 typical, 1:10 for heavy grease. Warm water helps.

Does it work on concrete?
